New sensors for laser safety (LASER-SPY)
The provision of safety in the use of
high-capacity lasers (fiber, disk laser,
etc.) requires new safety concepts
for enclosures. The engineering office
Goebel has developed sensors for
a new type of laser protection in cooperation
with REIS Lasertec and REIS
Robotics.
Integrated in cabin walls, LASER-SPY
sensors detect, as quick as lightning,
the penetration of the interior surface
of the wall. Integrated in the safety
control of the system, the laser is rapidly
switched off, even before the laser
beam can exit from the cabin.
Advantages
- self-checking sensors, safety circuit in 2-channel design
- safety-related acceptance test with safety certificate, sensors are certified
- cabin can be constructed according to laser protection class
- cabin safety concept for all lasers of high beam quality
in near-infrared wavelength range
- Shortest reaction times
- protection of laser systems without or with insufficient fibre monitoring
- build-up of very compact and safe laser cell systems
- very simple and economical cabin structure
- only a small number of sensors required for extensive monitoring
- very easy installation
- independent of the installed laser power
- design acc. to industrial standard
We offer
- Sensors as safety components for new installations
- Active protection walls as modules in various sizes
- Retrofit for existing installations including safety-related consultation
We are always at your disposal for any questions or further information.
