Modular welding Optics (MWO)
Material processing using laser radiation seen
a tremendous growth and development within the
last years. The diversity of applications and
of the required and adapted optical systems has
increased. Therefore the development of modular
optical systems that can be adapted to the various
requirements of the different applications has many
benefits. With the Modular Welding Optics (MWO)
Reis Lasertec has introduced a product to the market
that can be adapted to various situation without the
need to utilise completely different optics. Starting
from a basis module that includes a lens drawer for
the focussing lens the final optic can be build up by
adding supplementary modules. These come with different
functionality. Available modules are e.g. a camera
coupling module, a snap-in fast replacement module for
protection glasses, a LED-lighting unit and a crossjet.
In addition the supply connections for additional media
like cooling water, process gas, pressurised air and
even electrical signal connections are provided inside
optics - minimising external adaptation of tubes
and cabling - giving enhanced acces to the work piece.
Currently three different focal lengths are available:
200 mm, 250 mm und 300 mm.
Longer focal lengths are available on request.
Advantages
- modular set-up
- drawer for the lenes (fast & easy exchange)
- camera coupling module
- central media supply connection
- snap-in holder for protection glass
- cross-jet module
- removable lighting unit
- fully integrated media supply(water / process gas / pressurised air)
- internal contacts for electrical signals (power supply, sensor signals, switches etc.)
- mounts for adaptation of external supplements(e.g. cold wire feeder, seam tracking sensor, MIG-/MAG welding torches etc.
- suitable for high power laser systems (Fibre-, Disc-, Diodelasers)
- optional fast mounting adapter for various handling systems (REIS, Kuka, ABB etc.)
